Mt Kenya Climb

Day 1 NAIROBI - NANYUKI
Departure from Nairobi is at 09.00 hrs. to Nanyuki for dinner and overnight.

Day 2 NANYUKI - OLD MOSES CAMP
After breakfast vehicle transfer to Sirimon route hike to Old Moses camp (3300m) for overnight (4 to 6 hrs. hike)

Day 3 OLD MOSES - SHIPTON’S CAMP
Hike to Shipton’s camp (4200m ) for overnight (5 to 7 hrs. hike)

Day 4 SHIPTON’S CAMP - POINT LENANA
Attempt, to Point Lenana (4895 m) at 03.00 hrs. and descend leisurely to met section. Dinner and overnight.

Day 5 MET. STATION – NAIROBI
Descend the mountain to Naro Moru town with transfer back to Nairobi.

Mt Kenya Climb

Day 1 NAIROBI – NANYUKI
Departure from Nairobi is at 9.00 am to Nanyuki for dinner and overnight.

Day 2 NANYUKI - OLD MOSES CAMP
After breakfast vehicle transfer to Sirinom route hike to Old Moses camp for overnight (3300 m ) 4 to 6 hrs. hike.

Day 3 OLD MOSES -SHIPTON’S CAMP
Hike to Shipton’s camp (4200 m) for overnight (5 to 7 hrs. hike)

Day 4 SHIPTON’S CAMP - POINT LENANA
Attempt to Point Lenana lunch enroute (4985 m ) and descend to mintos hut for overnight.

Day 5 MINTO’S HUT - CHOGORIA GATE
Hike leisurely to Chogoria park gate (3020 m) for overnight.

Day 6 PARK GATE – NAIROBI
Descend leisurely to Chogoria town for transfer back to Nairobi.

4 Days
Mt Kenya Climb


Day 1 NAIROBI - NANYUKI
Departure from Nairobi is at 9.30 am to Nanyuki for dinner and overnight.

Day 2 NANYUKI - OLD MOSES
After breakfast vehicle transfer to Sirimon park gate, hike to Old Moses camp (3300m) for overnight 4 to 6 hrs. hike.

Day 3 OLD MOSES - SHIPTON’S CAMP
Hike to Shipton’s camp (4200m ) for overnight (5 to 7 hrs. hike).

Day 4 SHIPTON - POINT LENANA - NAIROBI
Attempt, Lenana (4985 m) at 03.00 hrs. and descent directly to main road with transfer back to Nairobi hiking time approximately 11 hours.


MSMKC04:
5 Days
Mount Elgon Climb

Day 1 NAIROBI - KITALE
Leave Nairobi to Kitale then proceed to delta crescent camp for dinner and overnight.

Day 2 CRESCENT CAMP - MT. ELGON
Proceed to the park gate and then visit the caves i.e Kitum, Makingeny among others as you a game walk accompanied by ranger, dinner and overnight at the campsite.

Day 3 CAMPSITE- KOITOBOS PEAK
In the morning attempt to the top of Mt Elgon (Koitobos Peak) 4155 m high descend back to the campsite for dinner and overnight.

Day 4 DELTA CRESCENT CAMP
Leave campsite very early in the morning for a whole Day walking to delta crescent for dinner and overnight. If time permit take a bus straight to Kitale town.

Day 5 KITALE -NAIROBI
After breakfast leave for Nairobi lunch enroute. Arrive Nairobi in the evening.


  Route costs include;

- English Speaking Mt Kenya Guide many successful summit climbs;
- Assistant guide with over 100 successful summit climbs;( we provide the
second guide for 2 climbers or more )
- Porters: Average of 3 porters per climber - depending on the size of the
group;
- Porters to carry climber baggage - maximum baggage allowance is 15kgs per
climber
- Porters to carry foodstuff
- Porters to carry camp, dinning equipment
- 3 meals a day whilst in Mt Kenya Park
- boiled drinking water is provided.
- Our cook prepares your delicious and excellent meals.
- All Accommodation in mountain tent
- A mountain 3-person-tent normally used for 2 or 3 persons maximum;
- Shared vehicle return transfers from Nairobi to Mt.Kenya Park
Entrance.
-Mt Kenya National Park Fees: Entry, Rescue and Huts Fees

SOME INFORMATION:

- Cooks : We use our Trained Cook/s who prepare delicious meals for mountain
fitness.
- Equipment : We use our camping equipment and mountain chairs on all camping
routes.
- Recommended Equipment List shall be provided on booking.
-Travel and medical insurance : We highly recommend clients to be covered by
travel and personal medical insurance, incase of any injury,
illness, and loss of property etc.

-NOTE: Medicals insurance should cover any rescue required from the Park Exit,
to a hospital plus medication costs etc. However, its advisable
to have about cash USd 50pp which may be required for registering at a hospital
and thereafter included in your medical insurance claim.
